Scacco Matto (Check Mate) is the name given to the new showroom display in the Milan space of Lea Ceramiche, offering a panorama of the most recent products presented by the company from Modena.

Designed by Diego Grandi, the space gives an ironic interpretation of a chess game, in which domestic environments interact with iconic furnishing and the new collections of Lea Ceramiche.

The black and white Absolute Slimtech floor tiles amplify the space giving it light and a spacious feeling thanks to the polished finish of the laminated porcelain; the latest development in a technology that was until recently unthinkable on such thin tiles.

The imposing marble effect modules of the collection Timeless Marble provide a frame to the walls: the Bianco Statuario and Pietra Gray in the polished and satin finishes offer slight differences in tone, keeping the ceramic material natural.

A salient feature of Slimtech’s versatility is displayed on the different sized objects that are entirely covered with the product, highlighting the ease with which laminated porcelain can be applied to virtually any sub-structure, with aesthetically perfect contours, corners and edge finishes.

"Since 2003 I have created five collections for Lea Ceramiche, which have marked several key moments in a process of interpreting the material, a process that has been constant over time."
