In an age where the trend of “outdoor living” is ubiquitous and gardens, terraces, and balconies are becoming seamless extensions of indoor spaces, it has become essential to design functional, inviting, and enduring exterior spaces that are in harmony with the surrounding environment.
Thus, outdoor seating areas are set to become “the place to be” in every season. Regardless of the size of the available space or its specific purpose, the style and choice of materials must also consider not only aspects related to aesthetics and colour, but also technical aspects like the product’s weather resistance and performance throughout its lifecycle. The success of porcelain stoneware lies in its extensive range of solutions which, alongside a multitude of looks and colours, offer outstanding technical performance. Thus, the flooring of outdoor spaces can even be installed on surfaces like grass, gravel, and sand, depending on the specific needs. Or, thanks to slim and ultra-thin stoneware, these spaces can be personalised with furniture and accessories that are strikingly clad and, above all, extremely easy to maintain.

Under a pergola of wooden slats that filters the light through the surrounding foliage, the Masterpiece flooring defines this outdoor space with its distinctive character: a material-inspired language combining concrete and terrazzo, here expressed in the Master Gray shade with a grip finish for the essential anti-slip safety required in outdoor areas, paired with the lighter, more vibrant mottling of Piece Alpi. The two surfaces, installed in a 9 mm thickness, interact to create a continuous floor with a contemporary, tactile texture that adds depth and character to the outdoor living area.
Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, the collection was conceived as a true ceramic alphabet: on one side, the Master surface inspired by concrete; on the other, Piece, which recalls terrazzo. The two can be freely combined or used independently, depending on the design concept. This compositional versatility, together with large formats up to 120x120 cm, makes Masterpiece ideal for paving spacious terraces and outdoor areas, with minimal grout lines and a strong visual impact.

At the heart of this lush garden, surrounded by spontaneous blooms and tactile furnishings with an artisanal feel, the Pulse flooring embraces the outdoor kitchen island with its light, vibrant surface, inspired by natural stone yet reinterpreted through a contemporary language. Installed in the 20 mm thickness, with L2 technology specifically designed for outdoor use, the slab provides the anti-slip performance and frost resistance essential for an exterior floor designed to be enjoyed in every season.
Pulse was conceived as a stone that does not exist in nature: its warm, sophisticated colour palette ranges from enveloping shades to neutral and luminous tones. Here, in the Clay shade, it creates a surface that interacts seamlessly with the dark grey of the kitchen block and the natural fibres of the poufs and stools, achieving a balanced material dialogue between stone, wood and greenery.
The collection is part of the exclusive 3-Tech Project: three thicknesses, 6, 9 and 20 mm, designed to meet every project requirement while maintaining a single aesthetic identity. This continuity makes it possible to extend the same Clay shade from the outdoor flooring to wall coverings and furnishings, ensuring a coherent result between indoor and outdoor spaces.
