Kalev Spa Hotel & Waterpark

A place rich in both tradition and modernity: the restyling of Kalev Hotel Spa pays tribute, on the one hand, to Estonia’s history, with Tallinn’s Old Town recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and on the other to the lush Kanuti Park, with its carefully maintained hedges and extensive green spaces.

Designed by Studio Tema, the project by Margit Teikari and Tuuli Trei brings together nature and a cosmopolitan lifestyle. The 119 elegant spaces, including suites and comfortable guest rooms, the exclusive spa area and the sports centre with its 50-metre swimming pool offer a relaxing and refined hospitality experience.

All the materials selected for the finishes and furnishings meet the required standards in terms of aesthetics, quality and performance. For the surfaces, for example, Lea Ceramiche’s Waterfall collection was selected, a faithful reinterpretation of natural slate rendered with remarkable realism. Waterfall covers the surfaces of various areas, bringing a natural and elegant character to the interiors. In the Spa area, the alternation of Dark Flow and Ivory Flow creates a refined contrast, enhanced on the shower walls by the special Gramma formats for a striking graphic effect. In the Lounge area, the combination of different formats highlights the subtle nuances of deep black across the floor, giving the space an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The polished version, pleasant to the touch thanks to its silky feel, is complemented by a more structured finish that provides greater grip and safety, particularly in areas close to the pool. In addition to its aesthetic and functional qualities, Waterfall stands out for its versatility and technical performance. With Protect^®, the silver-based technology also contributes to protecting surfaces against bacteria, remaining active even in low-light conditions.
